Features of Cutting and Grinding Discs

Use
● Cutting discs cut materials directly through a high speed rotation
● Grinding discs are used to grind, polish and remove the irregularities on the surface of materials.

Thickness
● Cutting discs are comparatively thinner, coming with a thickness of 1-3 mm. This thin design induces less friction, hence guarantees precise and clean cuts.
● Grinding discs are thicker, usually about 4-7 mm. This thick design makes them more durable and helps to withstand pressure during grinding.

Structure
● Cutting discs are made from aluminium oxide or silicon carbide, which are hard abrasives and fixed by resin binders. These materials help the disc to maintain its sharpness during the cutting process. 
● Grinding discs are also made from hard abrasives. In addition to that their structure renders it wear resistant and ensures continuous grinding operation.

Our exclusive range of grinding wheels include two high-proficient models COMBI EXTRA and COMBI SPEED, designed to deliver precise cutting, deburring and chamfering. The COMBI EXTRA model comes in 3.5/4.0 mm thickness that renders accurate cutting and grinding , while the COMBI SPEED model comes in a two layer structure and three reinforcement cloths to enhance the cutting ability and ensure safety, making it an ideal choice for light grinding and beveling.

The grinding wheels are suitable for diverse applications, including stainless steel work and also meets the strict standards for iron, sulphur and chlorine compounds. In addition to that, customized solutions are also available depending on the materials and needs. For instance, shaft mounted wheels and bench wheels are available in different sizes and specifications,identified by color-coded abrasive mixtures.
