MVT Micro Technology is a well-established Swiss company specializing in water-jet technology. For decades, they have been the specialist in the development and manufacture of high-performance nozzles for water-jet technology and the market leader of the Monro-jet nozzle. In order to be able to offer the most suitable solution for each of these applications, they have the leading expertise in the development of standard and special nozzles as well as in the machining of hard and ultra-hard materials such as carbide, sapphire and ceramics. And they have high availability in their own warehouse at the production site in Port BE, and are able to supply customers worldwide within a very short time.
Water-Jet Cutting
A special high-pressure pump compresses water strongly, resulting in a cutting pressure of approx. 4000 bar. In order to increase the kinetic energy of the water it is passed through a very fine nozzle and accelerated to about 1000 m/sec, thus various metals can be cut. In some cases, the power of water is not sufficient to cut harder materials so that polymer cutting, and abrasive cutting are used. or harder materials, an abrasive (usually garnet) is added to the water. This significantly increases cutting performance. Metals, natural stone, ceramics, plastics, glass, and more can be cut using abrasive jets. Like water and abrasive jets, but with a polymer additive it shares the same characteristics but offers additional versatility.
Sapphire nozzles
The sapphire nozzles produced by mvt AG for water jet cutting are characterized by their long lifetime, efficiency and quality. The extensive product range offers the right type of nozzle for most water jet cutting systems on the market. The sapphire inserts used especially for this ensure that the nozzles enjoy a long service life and a constant cutting performance.
Ceramic nozzles
The mvt ceramic nozzles were developed after many years of research and various tests with hydro demolition companies. The demand to produce an even better and more efficient nozzle for this growing market has spurred us on. The continuous shape of the ceramic insert produces a very high efficiency and an unbeatable impactful jet. These nozzles have also a very good performance in the field of runway rubber removal, road marking removal and road surface retexturing.
Flat spray nozzles
Our flat spray nozzles are available from 10° to 110°, and with our many years of know-how you can expect uniform pressure and regular water distribution. In particular, the carbide insert used for this ensures a long service life and consistent jet quality.
Abrasive cutting heads
All of our experience in abrasive cutting up to pressures of 4000 bar was utilised in the development of the type-1100/1101 abrasive cutting head. This concept is based on having a minimal number of components, the result of which is a less frequent need for repairs to be carried out and a good price-performance ratio. The original concept and the design of the mixing chamber in the mvt abrasive cutting head allows for optimal performance and ensures that it can be used at a maximum pressure of 3000 bar.

Monro-jet
MONROJET nozzles combine the high power of the point jet with the large surface achievement of the flat jet. They can be used with all approved high-pressure connections and can be fitted to lances and robots. The goal of this development was to design a nozzle with operating pressures that can be operated up to 2500 bar.
Paper Mill nozzles
The PMN (Paper Mill Nozzles) high performance nozzles for cleaning forming fabrics and felt in the paper industry. The specially manufactured ruby insert used for this purpose ensures a long service life and consistent jet quality.
Edge Cutting nozzles
Due to a special manufacturing process, the RSD (edge cutting nozzles) have a very high parallelism, which is excellent for edge cutting. In particular, the ruby insert used for this purpose ensures high efficiency with consistent jet quality. The nozzles are used as edge cutting nozzles or also couch cutting nozzles. The extensive range of nozzles is also available in sapphire design.
Multi jet nozzles
The high-performance MSD nozzles (multi-jet nozzles) are used for cleaning with a rotating head and for cleaning dry screens. The nozzles with specially manufactured ceramic insert provide high efficiency and top quality with long and constant jet quality. The jet of these nozzles is coherent, which results in a long service life.
